1960’s Evening square toe heel by ‘Rayne’ of London, fabric/leather/diamante, black, size 6.5C
I need an interesting google search when I saw the label, hard to read, bit faded now, so I got a copy of the logo from Wikipedia and this information-
‘Rayne (also known as H. & M. Rayne) is a British manufacturer known for high-end and couture shoes. Founded in 1899 as a theatrical costumier, it diversified into fashion shoes in the 1920s.
In the 1952,they were commissioned to make shoes for Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, Princess Anne and the Queen Mother’
How wonderful it would be to own a piece of history like this, of course they aren’t the Queens, but who knows!!
The sole and inner are leather, good condition, especially for shoes of this vintage.
There are a couple of diamantes missing from the buckles, so we have priced the shoes accordingly.
