1940s Cocktail Dress, Black lace, rayon, by ‘Gina of Melbourne’, size 12
This is an exquisite part of history. For a frock from this era, almost 85 years old, it is in amazing condition. Freshly laundered, I mended the neckline, the lining, the hem and a small patch of lace at the back, to be able to present her so beautifully to you.
She is fully lined, the pearls are not included and I have popped a photo into the gallery, to show you how gorgeous she looks with a hat, gloves and heels.
In a flat lay, the bust is 102cm, waist is 84cm, hips are 102cm and the length is 107cm.
She measures, according to my size chart, a size 14, but I would recommend wearing her a little loosely, so she drapes well, there is a little bit of stretch in the fabric, so its up to you, as to how you would like it to fit.
