1940’s Military Wool Coat, made by ‘USA SAFIR A/S’, Grey, men’s size S, women’s size S-M

Take a step back in time, with this elegantly tailored, one might say, with military precision, a coat that radiates Vintage charm. Designed for the brutal winters, where the army was predicted to encounter. Thick wool fabric, fully lined, double breasted  structured silhouette, would make a great addition to any modern wardrobe. Show off its historical vibe with every wear. At first glance, it is a man’s coat, until I popped onto the Ladies mannequin, and it looks great on her too as seen in the gallery photos.

Unfortunately, the coat was washed, instead of  being dry cleaned, consequently, the wool has shrunk and is causing the hem to be rumpled. So, it is a project. I attempted to do it, by pinning the hem to the point where the rumple ends, but I think its best to leave it to a professional. To compensate, I have reduced the selling price.

There was in a few places in the lining which I have mended, see the photos in the gallery. None of the garments, that is, the tie, shirt, pants, vest, shoes, or hats, are included with the coat.

In a flat lay, the men’s measurements are- Chest 38″, waist 33″,  hips 42″ and the length is 40″ with the hem turned up to hide the rumple, but around 2.5 ” to let down.

Women’s are bust 98cm, waist 86cm, hips 114cm.
