Description
1950’s Gown by ‘Jean Allen’ for Harrods’ of London.
The chrysanthemum print, pink/orange/lavender, is a clever but unusual colour palette.
Her only owner told me she wore it as a bridesmaid in the 50’s in London, so we thought to honour her memory a photo shoot to relive the occasion would be fun, as seen in the gallery photos.
Freshly laundered, excellent condition, full cotton lining too.
The straps were an optional extra at the time, which were sewn in, covering some of the label, but necessary to keep the dress from falling off her bust.
The bust is 85cm, waist is 71cm, length is 146cm.
Our model is a size 10, so it was a little small for her, hence finishing the photos on the mannequin, the fascinator and heels not included.
